FETMX8MP-C System On Module(SoM) / Computer on Module is developed and designed based on the NXP i.MX 8M Plus processor, which focuses on machine learning and vision, advanced multimedia, and highly reliable industrial automation. It is designed to meet the demands of applications such as smart cities, industrial IoT, smart healthcare, and intelligent transportation.

Powerful quad-core or dual-core Arm Cortex-A53 processor has a maximum clock frequency of 1.6 GHz and includes a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of up to 2.3 TOPS. It features an integrated Image Signal Processor (ISP) and two camera inputs, enabling efficient advanced vision systems. Multimedia capabilities include video encoding (including H.265) and decoding, 3D/2D graphics acceleration, and various audio and voice features. Real-time control is managed by the Cortex-M7, with a powerful control network featuring CAN FD and dual Gigabit Ethernet, including Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN).

High-speed communication interfaces include 2 x USB 3.0, 1 x PCIe 3.0, 2 x SDIO 3.0, and 2 x CAN-FD, making it suitable for 5G networks, high-definition video, dual-band WiFi, and high-speed industrial Ethernet applications.

The base board has taken the great computing and multimedia capabilities of the i.MX 8M Plus processor to provide dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, one with TSN, and WiFi/BT and M.2 B-key and mini-PCIe sockets with optional 5G and 4G modules.

The feature-packed board also offers media interfaces including HDMI 2.0a, LVDS, MIPI-DSI with optional touch screen, 2x MIPI-CSI with optional cameras and audio I/O. Other key interfaces include 2x USB 3.0, Type-C, serial and 2x CAN-FD.

Forlinx offers a design service to customize the base board to meet specific requirements.
